How much does website maintenance cost?
Care for a company website starts at 150 zł net a month, for a store or application at 400 zł, and for a company's whole infrastructure at 800 zł. Each price includes the server, certificate, backups and monitoring — no surcharges for things that are necessary anyway.
Are the domain and hosting included?
Yes. The server, certificate and disk space come with the subscription, and I renew the domain and watch its deadline. The domain is registered to your company, so you can move it elsewhere at any time.
You're building my new company website. Will I pay a subscription too?
There's no need. A static company site is a set of ready files spread across servers around the world, so its hosting, certificate and backups cost pennies and I leave them in the build price — you only add the domain renewal once a year. The subscription starts where a server and database work: with a store, an application, or a site taken over from another developer, because there something genuinely needs updating and watching every month.
Do you look after sites you didn't build?
Yes, and it's a common case. I start with an inventory, transferring access to your company and a full backup, then hand you a list of things that need attention. Only then does ongoing care begin.
What if the site goes down on a weekend?
The monitoring runs around the clock, weekends included, so I learn about an outage from a notification. Serious downtime I handle immediately, whatever the day. Minor requests I take on the next business day.
How fast do you respond to a report?
If a site has stopped working, I get on it immediately. For small content changes, usually the same or the next business day. There is one phone number and I answer it personally.
Do we sign a long-term contract?
The subscription is monthly and you can end it with a month's notice. On ending, I hand over the complete access, a backup and documentation, so a handover to someone else is straightforward.
How many changes can I ask for per month?
Small fixes — swapping a text, replacing a photo, updating the price list — are covered by the subscription with no per-item counting. Bigger things I quote separately and give the price before starting.
Will I get a report of what's happening?
On the infrastructure package you get a monthly summary of availability, response times and work done. On the other packages I prepare a report on request.
